Since 2023, Stats Perform has partnered with Student Freedom Initiative and Morehouse College to deliver an Introduction to AI Through Sport course, which is designed to share insight into the application of artificial intelligence tools and techniques to analyse and predict performance across various sports.
The semester long course leverages sports to explore how data and AI can “measure the immeasurable,” uncovering new insights through advanced technology. Students learn to visualise granular data and create interactive animations and dashboards to highlight key behaviors in sports.
Each spring, Stats Perform teams up with Birkbeck, University of London, to deliver a nine week Football Analytics module, which outlines the key fundamentals behind data concepts being applied within elite club environments.
The principles taught throughout the module have been designed with the student at the centre, with sessions tailored on understanding and applying new skills that can be utilised across a range of roles within professional football.
